Please join us for our Teen ~ Middle/High School Virtual Program! This program will take place Nov. 15 - 19 (Sun – Thurs) remotely via Zoom, with live sessions happening Sunday from 7-8pm and Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm. Monday and Wednesday the attendees will work on a project or assignment as designated which will range anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. This program is intended for students currently in grades 6th /7th – 12th and will include lessons focusing on the Expanded Core Curriculum areas of Career Education and Self-Determination. A highlight of the program will include the following guest speakers, who both happen to be blind:

    • Richard Early – a comic bookstore owner in Fargo speaking on raising expectations by selling comic books
    • Jyoti – speaking on transition and her college experience

Students will also experience virtual lessons incorporating other areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum including Independent Living Skills, Assistive Technology, and Orientation and Mobility (O&M). We’ll also have some fun and socialize!

Note: an individual lesson with a specific instructor can also be requested and arrangements can be made during the registration process.

Reserve your spot by sending Cindy an email at ckwillia@nd.gov. Registration deadline is Friday, Nov 6th. If you have any questions regarding our upcoming virtual program, please contact Cindy at the above email.
