Eligibility

Students who are visually impaired (low vision or blind), and who are functioning at or near grade level are eligible to attend.

Directions to NDVS/SB

From Interstate 29 take Hwy. #2 exit (Gateway Drive), east to Stanford Road and then turn South (right), turn east (left) at Sixth Avenue North. Please use the East Entrance door by the playground.

Arrival and Departure Time

Students should arrive between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday night or by 8:00 a.m. Monday morning. An evening meal is provided on Sunday. You will be notified of specific departure times when you register for our Short-Term Programs. Typically, departure time is Thursday between 4:00 p.m. and - 4:15 p.m.

What to Bring

Casual clothes, appropriate outdoor clothing, pajamas, robe, modest swimwear, toiletries - including comb or hairbrush, small amount of spending money, gym shoes, phone card - optional, any over the counter medicines your child may need (Tylenol, cough syrup, Rolaids, etc..)

Homework/Assignments

The case manager, vision consultant, or teacher at the local school may contact us with questions or instructions when collecting and preparing the assignments your student/child will be bringing.
