Adults with visual impairments experience varying degrees of need for professional services depending upon age, lifestyle, community characteristics and their own unique visual functioning. It is the goal of North Dakota Vision Services/School for the Blind (NDVS/SB) to assist individuals in reaching their personal goals through assessment and training.
Including Children with Visual Impairments. Deafblindness and Additional Disabilities into Physical Education
Children with visual impairments are being included in general physical education now more than ever. Unfortunately, even the most well-meaning teachers do not always have the background or knowledge to include these children safely or successfully. Please join us for this one-day workshop and learn how to include children with visual impairments, deafblindness and additional disabilities. Our nationally recognized presenter will share instructional techniques, equipment options, blind sports, validated assessments, and a variety of relevant resources that will help your entire program.
