Family Programs
Our mission is to be a resource and support to individuals with a visual impairment and their families. When a loved one is blind or visually impaired, it impacts the entire family. The family may experience a feeling of loss and helplessness as well as uncertainty, bringing about a real need for information and support. NDVS/SB desires to help build a bridge for families to reach one another. It is our intent to share information, experiences, techniques, and resources that could be of use and support to the family members. NDVS/SB, along with the NDSB Foundation, provides occasional opportunities for families to gather and network across the state.
